Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend - Monday is almost here! :) Last week was rough - Jaxon was sick and then Hudson got sick and his lingered and lingered...so not fun! He is a sensitive little boy that always wants his mommy so I was by his side all the time and with very little sleep at night! Needless to say, I was thrilled when Daddy got home from his trip Thursday night!
You all know that I love to stamp! I've loved checking out Jen McGuire's Thinking Inking classes at Two Peas - they are free and a new video/class goes up Mon/Wed/Friday...lots of work that girl is doing! And they are awesome! I was inspired to play around with some new products I had just gotten and try one of the techniques she talked about in one of her classes.
I don't have distress inks in fun colors (although I have some on their way - yippee) so I used my new In-Colors from Stampin' Up!. I used Melon Mambo (bright pink) marker, Bermuda Bay (blue) marker and Soft Suede (brown) marker...yep...the new In-Colors have markers this year! So so thrilled about that! I used some new Cavallini Butterfly stamps that I got at Kate's Paperie in New York - love them - I've always wanted them! I colored the stamps with the marker, spritzed water on them, and then stamped on the cardstock. I could of spritzed on more water for a more 'watercolored' look - will do that next time. It was fun to do! I also used some SU! Melon Mambo (pink) cardstock, a vintage pin (from the new Making Memories Vintage Findings collection at Michael's stores), sewing, bronze metal brad and pop-dots on the brown butterfly.
Watch for the new Stampin' Up! catalog to be up on July 1...your gonna love it! You can go to my online site and store to view the new catalog and items. The new in-colors are fabulous and spot on with the trends right now - new papers are amazing - and LOTS of fabulous fabulous stamps! Ahhhhh - stamps! I love them! Also remember to go and grab those items that are retiring before they are gone...this Wed. (June 30th) is the last day!! Stock up on that Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss goodness now!!! :) :) Hugs!
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
