I've been wanting to post about this all weekend, but we took off on Friday to go to St. George. My sister had a big weekend...her 8 yr. old son got baptized on Saturday and then she blessed her new baby boy, Hyrum, on Sunday at church. Her 6th! She is so amazing - such an amazing person and mother! I miss her and her family so much. The kids loved being with the cousins again! We also went over to our old neighborhood and saw some friends...the kids were so happy to be there. We wanted to get back to visit those that we missed and I'm so sad that we didn't get too - we really miss them all!
So, we are back and have lots to do around here!
But, I wanted to post the fun Weekly Challenge that is up at Two Peas till Friday (then a new one will go up). I hope that you'll play along. The challenge is to use LOTS of buttons! On this layout, I used die-cut buttons (with the Sizzix button Sizzlit die), a button punch (from Martha Stewart), button stamps (from Studio Calico - LOVE LOVE LOVE these stamps so so much!!), and also real buttons. So, grab from your stash and use those buttons! Create a card, layout or whatever you'd like and post it in the Two Peas Gallery by Thursday night at midnight to be entered into the drawing for a gift certificate to Two Peas. You can find more details about the layout and products used by going here.
Also, have you checked out the Hero Arts blog this week? LOVIN' IT!!! They are combining two of my favorite things this week - amazing stamps (Hero Arts) and amazing dies (QUICKUTZ!). LOVE!!! They are doing amazing giveaways every day - love love love the combo of the two! So easy to use together - they were just made for eachother! :) :) And...I must say...two of the most wonderful companies out there! The people that work at both of these companies are just amazing, real, people!! Love that!

I made this card using the Quickutz Nesting Rounded Squares set, the flower dies (my favorite things!!) and lots of Hero stamps. Check it out here to see all the stamps listed and links to the individual images. I've got another fun page using Quickutz and Hero Arts coming to the blog this week - so keep checking it out over at Hero Arts for more inspiration! Lovin' this week!
On another note, my hubby and I are going to New York next week for a few days! I'm soooo excited! We met there almost 13 years ago - dang that's a long time ago! LOL! So, it will neat to go back there together! I've got lots of fun places I want to get to while I am there - but was wondering if you all have any recommendations! I don't want to miss anything! Must see-coolest stores?? Must eat places?? Must see sight-seeing? Anything??? I'd totally appreciate it!!
Have a good night! I'll be back with another Hero/Quickutz page very soon! :) :)
Oh Robyn!! I love your button page :) You make the most amazing pages!!! :) Have FUN in NY!!!

Oh how fun, I love New York. We went a few years ago for our anniversay - heh, the date coincided with the Mariners playing the Yankees, so we HAD to go to 2 games....and there was no time for me to shop...ooops, back on track now...we ate twice at Mickey Mantle's on Central Park South. Good for a quick, reliable meal. So if your hubby is any into sports (which obviously, mine is) it's a good one. Nothing spectacular, but still. What we did for our anniversary was go to the concierge and ask for reservations wherever she thought and told her it was our anniversary. And they gave us complimentary champagne and a dessert:) Well, I tipped the concierge, so it wasn't exactly free, but it was still special. I'll want to hear all about the trip!

Looks like so much fun! I wish I was as creative as you are!! I remember your Mom's 'craft room' in the basement. I was always so amazed at the great ideas she came up with!! I love to be crafty - but you take the cake chicka! Thanks for the inspiration!!
