We got back last night at 1:30 am from New York City - we had the BEST time ever! It was so wonderful! First, it was so nice to be with Ryan and to get to spend some time with him - just us! He travels a LOT now for his new job and we are still trying to find the balance in it all - so it was a much needed vacation for us. He worked during the day while I went down to the city and shopped and went to my fun stores on my list and then he met me there at night and we went out together. So so fun! I walked and walked and ate lots and shopped lots and had the best time! We both just love New York City!
On Thursday, we were able to go to the place that we met, nearly 13 years ago, in Scarsdale, NY. It was so fun to be able to take a picture of us there together at that exact spot where we first saw eachother...it was really neat to be back there after all these years. A special little moment.
Anyway, I have tons of photos to share and so much more...I'll share over the next week lots of fun inspirational pictures. In the meantime, I need to unpack and spend lots of time with my kiddos - I missed them so so much!! We couldn't of gone if it weren't for my Mom - who stayed with our kids while we were gone. They love her sooooo much and were in such good hands. I know I've said it before, but my Mom is simply...amazing! I felt so bad to come home last night to a perfectly clean and organized house - she went through all my piles and crap - I felt bad. She is so wonderful and I owe her soooooo much! Thank you Mom!!!!
A quick share today...if you haven't stopped by the Hero Arts blog each day this week, then you may not of seen my Layout of the Week on Wednesday. This is the layout I created with all the Quickutz Silhouette goodness and Hero Arts stamps. I cut the circles with the medium circle background from Silhouette and stamped various stamps in the circles. It was such a fun way to add little design elements on the page! The 'Worth the Wait' and filmstrip are also Quickutz Silhouette designs! Love them!!

You can see more details about the layout here on the Hero Arts site or on the blog here.
And yes, Madisyn finally lost her first tooth! "Some things are just worth the wait!" She is almost 7 1/2 and always asked when she would loose one - since all her friends have lost lots by now. So, it was an exciting day! And when we were in St. George earlier this month, she was swimming and the one next to it was soooo wiggly. I said, "Let me just take it out so it isn't bugging you." And she did - it came right out. Everyone couldn't believe she just pulled it out there at the pool - so cute! So now my sweet girl is missing her two front teeth - at 7 1/2 years old. Heheheheeee! She looks darling!
Ok, off to be with the kids and unpack and all that good stuff. Have a great day!
Thankyou for a very entertaining and enlightening piece. It definitly opened my eyes to allot of things I had not thought of before.
