It is starting to feel more and more like summer. Although the weather has been really off and on here lately, the kids are all out of school, the summer attitudes are setting in and the fun is beginning. Just a quick layout share, this layout was in the July '08 issue (I believe) of BHG Scrapbooks, etc. The red grids were created by making a grid design with masking tape on white cardstock and then with red paint and a brayer, I rolled the paint over the design...which created a red grid background of paint. I then had fun filling in each rectangle with papers, stamps and embellishments. I love layouts like that - lots of fun little canvases to create with.
Well, I'm super busy getting things packed and ready and finishing assignments that I've got to have done before I leave. So much to do - so little time! I've got some fun places I want to hit in NYC...Tinsel Trading, Kate's Paperie, M&J Trimmings, ABC Store, Brooklyn Bridge, World Trade Center Memorial, Serendipity, Max Breeners....yummo!!! If you still have any recommendations...please let me know or email me. I'd love to hear good places to eat, stores, anything! I'll have lots of inspirational photos to share when I get back! :)
And....my Mom and I recently found the most amazing antique find ever!! I've been wanting one for eon's but never thought I'd find one here in Utah. Well, a random stroll in a store one day and there it was....it's beautiful! I'll take a picture and share! :) And, the layout I did for Hero/Quickutz is going to be used another week so I'll keep you updated. It's so cute - I really like how it turned out. I can't stop using my Quickutz goodies! :)
I'm going to try to do some posts to save to come up this week while I'm gone! Have a good day!
I'm always in love with your work; it's totally inspiring. Thanks for sharing your talent!

Ah Robyn...seriously, this is gorgeous girl!! You are quite amazing...the details and the way you lay out your pages is just mind boggling!
Have a great time in NYC and I can't wait to see your antique. I've been dying to get my hands on a library card catalogue...is that it?
Anyway, look forward to seeing more pages!
