HaPpY HalLoWeEn KiTS!

I wanted to create something fun for Halloween this year and I came upon these beautiful, thick frames and just had to get one to decorate. I think it came together really cute and thought it would be fun to put together some kits to sell here for those that may be interested in a fun Halloween Project.

The Main Kit features a beautiful black, hand distressed frame that is 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" square, 1 1/4" thick and has an opening that is almost 4" square.

It includes all the items needed to create the project inside the frame, plus additional items for a page or another project.

I have a LIMITED NUMBER of the frames so if you want the main kit, order early!

Halloween Kits will be up tomorrow!

I am running off to Therapy with the kids, so this is a very short post today! :)

Just wanted to let you know that I'll have photos, prices, etc. up tomorrow for the Halloween Kits if you are interested in checking them out.

The kit comes with a home decor item and I have a limited number of those available. There are some extras in the kit to make a layout with so I have put together the same kit (without the home decor piece) for you to be able to purchase in case that one sells out. That way you can make the project and put it in something similar at home - plus have extras to do a layout or whatever your inspired to create.

Random Happiness

1. THANK YOU so much for your sweet post and emails of congrats! :) It's crazy to have it settling in that we are having a boy. Hudson lately, loves to act like a baby and I'm suppose to be the mommy...hehehehee. He just cuddles up with me in my bed and wants me to sing to him and hold him. I secretly treasure it - soon he won't be my littlest baby anymore. Dang I love that sweet little boy! :)

2. My Halloween Kits didn't go up on the 15th. So sorry! I had to get some work done and I've decided to change it a bit to include some more product. So, I'm working on that today and hope to have them up soon. I'll let you know exactly when - just a few more days I hope. I think they are so cute - hope you'll like them.

3. I saw today that preorders went up for the upcoming Autumn Leaves Books at Lifetime Moments. It was so neat to be able to work on these two books and the upcoming 2008 AL Calendar. Loved it! :) Such goodness!

Be sure to check out Rhonna Farrer's, Enjoy the Process book.
We were given a challenge each week and each artist had to accept the challenge and create a layout/project for it. It really pushed me creatively and now that I look back...I love every layout I did for this book. Some of my best I feel like. If you up for a fantastic creative challenge (who isn't right) - you gotta get this book. Way too good.

The Designing with Recipe book...love. A different approach for AL and I think you'll all really like it. Each layout created by the DW team in this book, will have a full page. The layout, step by step instructions, supplies needed and a great technique. This was way fun to do...this book is full of great techniques and ideas. And...it's all done by the number of photos you have for your layout...so easy to look up a design and approach to design. Love that!! (You can see a clip of one of my layouts and Madi there on the cover in yellow.)

And of course, the calendar. A staple in my studio. Love them in the years past and loved being able to contribute this year. Look for lots of two-page layouts, hybrid, general...home decor and more. Way fun and so many incredible designers are in this...lots and lots of people. So good! A must each year.

So check them out today - preorder or make sure that your LSS is ordering them. I can't wait for them to come out.

Also...I noticed that the AL Perfectly Clear book is on sale this week at IdeaBook4You. If you haven't got it - this is a great chance to get it at a great price. They also have Designing with Details in stock too! Yumma!

4. Have you seen the new Martha Stewart line at Macy's? We don't have a store here but I saw some on her show (that isn't on during the day here anymore - it's at 2 am - kinda funny). I finally gave in and ordered these today - but not for what they are meant to be used for. I can't wait to get them and show you. Hopefully next week! So fun!

5. I have stayed in my PJ's all day - no makeup - I did take a shower but my hair is up and not done...and it feels great! I'm a PJ girl...love being in my comfy clothes. We have been so busy lately and it feel soooo good to just chill today. Happy! :)

It's a........

We are so happy! Hudson is so happy! And after a little sigh from Madisyn, she is now happy too! Daddy says he knew it was a boy....and Mommy is happy too! I love Hudson dearly -  he was a good baby and at 3 1/2 - he still is a "momma's boy" and loves to cuddle with me. I really believe that there is something special between a boy and his mom. I can't wait to see what this little guy is going to look like! We are thrilled! :)

Baby is sooo healthy and looked great! Mom has placenta previa - so let's hope that that resolves itself and moves around. I've also only gained 3 lbs. so the Dr. told me to gain some weight this month. I think that is the first time I've been told to gain weight - we had a good laugh at that one! :)

I love his crossed little legs in this photo - so so precious! This was the first time we had a 3D ultrasound done - so neat!

So, out the window goes my favorite baby girl names. Sad! We don't have one baby boy name we like - what a struggle this will be! LOL! Any good idears?? I need help with this one!

And yes, today I am returning the baby girl clothes I so stupidly bought and going to get some precious baby boy clothes! :)

Thanks for your well wishes and thoughts! :) Time to switch to baby boy preparations! Life is good!

One more day!

Tomorrow, Sept. 11, we have our Ultrasound scheduled and I'm hoping that this little baby is growing perfectly and that all is well! That's our number one concern - I hope that everything will be on target and look great! I can't wait to get a 'look' at this little one! I'm also hoping that we will be able to find out the sex of this baby! Madisyn desperately wants a little sister. I am trying to prepare her for both scenarios - I hope that if it's a boy she will still be happy when we tell her! :) And Hudson of course wants a little brother - which would be good for him. I'm sure they would be the best of buds - although they will be almost 4 years apart.

So - any guesses? Boy or girl?? I still can't believe I'm having another child - it's hard to imagine!

I'm kinda hoping for a girl - not sure why? I love girlie things and a part of me would love to have another. Plus, I have some names picked for a girl that I just LOVE so very much, so I think that it has stuck with me more.

A boy...would be wonderful too. They are so easy going when they are little! :) Hudson would love it, it would be great cause they would be closer in age...I have no boy names picked out whatsoever. I had one, but not sure if I like it anymore. Why are boy names so stinkin' hard! Really struggling with that and for that reason too I think I've been leaning more towards a girl - like it's my decision right! LOL!

So wish us luck! :)

And...

I think I'm the only one in blog land that hasn't talked about the kids going back to school. Madisyn started KINDERGARTEN on August 16th - she's been in school for 18 days now (they were out for a week). Crazy!!! She is doing great though! Here is a quick photo of her before she left. I had to take some paperwork to her school office today and so I sneaked back there and watched her for a bit. She is so cute! I am just so proud of her! She has this little boyfriend at school and they were sitting next to eachother chatting away. It starts young I guess! Scary!

Hudson started preschool 2-3 weeks ago - so proud of that little guy! He LOVES to go and loves gym on Thursdays. The teachers said that he is an angel and doing great! I was worried about him having to go potty by himself (he has a hard time doing up his shorts), but he's gone a few times and done great! So happy! I hate to see him go each day and I love to pick him up - but those 2 1/2 hours of quiet time for mom when they are both at school are fabulous! :) I won't lie!

I'll post most likely on Wednesday - I gotta make sure all my fam knows before I post it on here! :) Can't wait to go see the baby tomorrow! Hugs!

Bad, bad girl!

I seriously have way to many obsessions! My hubby will be the first to admit this...as I'm sure I frustrate him like crazy! :) I walked into a Quilt Shop on Saturday and saw this amazing quilt draped across some bolts of fabric. Ahhhhhh! What is that??? I hadn't seen the line before and I instantly fell in love with it! Blues and Greens and just a different, eclectic mix of patterns. I was sold! Last time I was up in SLC, I went to a quilt store with my mom and bought a kit for a quilt that was just darling - it has a scalloped edge - pinks and browns - love it. Have I started it - no. It sits with the 6 other sets of fabric I have waiting for me to get working on. So, I didn't need this, by any means, but I had to get it. I hate that you gotta get that 5 1/2 yards of backing fabric too - so expensive! :) I'm actually gonna start this today though - I'm determined and I totally love it!

UPDATE: I've had many people ask so I thought I'd update here for all those interested. The fabric is called, Bleeker Street by Michele D'Amore for Marcus Brothers. You can do a search and you'll get lots of stores. I did find one here that shows all the fabrics available in that line. :) I've been quilting all day and my hubby tonight said that this fabric was totally ugly! Thanks hun! :) Oh well, I love it!

And when it comes to babies....I'm obsessed with baby blankets! We got a ton when Madisyn was born and I loved to wrap her up in them. Hudson, we got a few, but not too many. And now, I've already started collecting. So dumb! :) Last night in the mail, I got this one from the Gap that I've been wanting forever - even before I knew I was prego. It went on sale and although it's something I could probably make - why? The bright fun colors, the circles, the stripes on the back....so me! Love it! I can't wait to put this baby on it and take some cute photos. So cute! :)

And, I also ordered this one from Gymboree. Yes, it's for a girl. Do I know what I am having yet? NO! See my problem! LOL! So, if it's not a girl...I'll have to give this away or return it. I loved the pink and brown, of course the dots, and my kids are obsessed with dogs so I thought it would be cute. And it is cute. Madi won't let go of it. :)

So...my obsession continues. I ordered a bunch of baby clothes too...7 more days and we have our ultrasound where we will hopefully find out if this is a baby boy or a baby girl...and I just couldn't wait 7 days. So silly! :) I guess I'm secretly hoping it's a girl...although a boy would be fabulous too! I think Hudson would be so happy to have a little brother to play with instead of princess toys all the time! :)

I've also been working on a fun HALLOWEEN KIT PROJECT that I hope to have up for sale around the 15th of this month. I only have a few kits but I think it's turned out so cute. It's a home decor project and I finished up getting the fabrics and the rest of the product for it Monday. So fun! I'll post it closer to the 15th - hope you'll likey! :)

And thanks for your comments on the blog...I'm still not getting emails from Typepad on comments - anyone else having this problem still. I hate not being able to respond to each of you. So please know I appreciate your comments - I love hearing from you!
