What a crazy few days! Been trying to work with my kids on this 'sleep' issue we are having. THANK YOU to everyone that has sent suggestions....so thankful for them and thanks for all your sweet words. We went and bought Hudson a mattress Tuesday night and put him in his room - Madi in her room and they have actually stayed in there. Last night, Madi slept from 10:30 pm to 4 am, had milk, said goodnight to me, and then slept till 9:30 am!! HELLO! Amazing! Truly Amazing!! I have more I want to share about all that - I will soon.
But, I did want to also share this. Sorry I didn't get on yesterday to do that.
While I was in Arizona, we went to this Antique store called 'Qucumberz'. They had this cool yellow 'R' that had nail holes in it - I totally fell in love with it! Then as I was checking out - he showed me some other letters - the red one in the middle - and just gave it to me for free. Happiness! :) When I got home, I wasn't sure where to put them all since I'm getting so many letters (love letters!!!) and just placed them on top of my magnet/chalk board - love it. So fun!
I also added these lights on both sides of my board. It's the perfect backlighting for my desk. They shine right on my work space and yet the lights aren't in my eyes since they are behind me. I love it! I got them on clearance at Pottery Barn Kids...such a great buy!
I forgot to take a picture...but I also got an antique cupcake baking tray! It's soooo cool! Great silver color, so thick - way fun! Amy and I thought how cool to put on our desks for all the 'leftover' embellishments and such. The whole right side of my desk is filled with leftovers and this is helping me to get more organized. Love that idea! :)
So - there's a few things in my room.
I got some beautiful new fabric from Moda this week and I'm gonna take a scrapbooking break (ackkkk! just kidding) and work on this quilt. It is sooo beautiful - I seriously LOVE fabric! I buy it non-stop - have quite the collection now. Love it!
Oh......
And yesterday, I was feeling like I was in a scrappin' slump. So, I gave myself a challenge....
To sit and do a layout in 1 HOUR and that's it.
That may not sound hard to some of you...but for me....never has happened before. I always move things around, leave and come back, change things...etc., etc., etc. It's pathetic! LOL! I need to get faster so guess what...I did it! And.........I love the page I did! Love it!
So - up for a challenge? Sometime this weekend, sit for an hour and create...just pull things and put them down - go with your gut instinct. I had so much fun doing this ... so fun! And whether or not you end up 'loving' what you created or not...I bet it will feel good to just let go and create. No pressures, no anything....just creating! Be you and have fun!
I'll post my layout on Monday - I challenge you to play along. Create a layout and we can all share on Monday. Anyone game? If not, that's cool. I just loved doing it - it was so good for me.
Ok, hope you all have a great weekend! It's General Conference weekend for the church - talks and all - love it. So inspiring and uplifting. Hope to quilt some while I listen! :) I'll post my layout on Monday. Have fun scrappin!
I'm an AZ girl! Where is that store? Sounds pretty cool. Love your Blog!

Wasn't conference great? Love that you quilt. That's what my Mom used to do when she watched. It's such a fond memory.
Oooh, I'm lovin' those letters. Perfect place for them too.

Love, love your new stuff! I like reading your blog and living vicariously through you--you are quite the shopper, girl! lol! Yep, I'm slow too, so I may play along with your challenge. I get on my own nerves taking so long--I do the exact same thing--move things around, leave, come back, move things, until I'm like "enough is enough, I'm going with it"--lol! Can't wait to see your layout!
