Has it really been THAT long since I posted? I can't believe it! June went by too fast! With physical therapy, healing my knee, lots of design work, two kids that don't know how to sleep (but sure know how to whine and cry) and just life...I've lost track a bit. Things have been crazy - but I'm back.
This week has been horrible! My heart is broken for my sweet little sister, Shannon and her husband, Dave, who lost their little baby on Tuesday. My sister started cramping (3 1.2 months pregnant) and hurting Monday night. Her husband had to go on a business trip the next morning and he went - them both thinking that everything was okay. Well, that morning, she went into the dr. cause things were getting worse. I'm so grateful that my mom was there with her to comfort her. They found out that she had a serious infection in her uterus (happens to about 1% of pregnancies) that was extremely serious - the baby was just fine but they had to take the baby to save her and her chances of having any more children in the future. It was just so sad! Her hubby went to Cincinnati, and turned right around. I feel so bad that he wasn't able to be there with her all day - I'm sure he was just so torn. Luckily, he was right there when she came out of the operation at 7 pm so that was a blessing. My heart just goes out to them. It's always been one of my fears to loose a child, but I just wish it wasn't them - not their first. I would never wish that on anyone - it's just so tramatic and sad!!
I posted on 2 Peas requesting cards for them to help comfort her. She is getting into scrappin' and stampin' and she mentioned the other day that her MIL gave her a card and it just meant the world to her. So, hopefully this will be a nice surprise having a lot of cards in the mail from people that she doesn't even know - but people who care, who share in her sorrow, who offer comfort. Thank you so much to all of you who have offered to send cards. If you'd like to send one, please post here and I'll email you her address! Please keep them in your prayers! Thanks!
On a happier note, I got the new Stampin' Up! Catalog for 2005-06 and I'm in love. I secretly kissed it on Tuesday when I got it (I can't believe I actually just admitted and posted that!) LOL! It's beautiful! I can't wait to place an order tomorrow and get fun new goodies to play with! If anyone is interested in getting a catty, I'm selling them for $12 and that includes priority mail shipping plus a $5 off a $35 order (valid August - November 2005). The catalog retails for $9.95 plus ship and tax from SU so this is a great offer. It's awesome - don't miss out!
Well, I'm cleaning up today. We have the missionaries coming over tonight for dinner. I've never hosted missionaries for dinner. I can't believe that. I'm so glad my hubby signed us up. With my brother being on a mission, I'm anxious to serve them and offer them a home and dinner.
Hope that everyone is well. I'll get back on here. Sorry about the break!
Hugs!
